A Message From the New IAC Director of Operations Linda Weingarten

A Message From the New IAC Director of Operations Linda Weingarten

As we step into 2026, I am honored and grateful to begin this new year as Director of Operations of the Islip Arts Council.

On behalf of our dedicated staff, Board of Directors, and Advisory Board, and with appreciation for the leadership of Lynda Moran, who helped build our foundation, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, artists, patrons, sponsors, and supporters who carried us through 2025.

Last year challenged us, inspired us, and reminded us why creative spaces matter. Because of you, our doors stayed open, our walls stayed full, and our community stayed connected.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are filled with excitement — new exhibitions, bold ideas, expanded programming, and deeper community collaborations. This is a year of creativity, connection, and growth. 💛 We invite you to be part of what's next:

🎨 Get creatively involved
🤝 Volunteer or share your talents
🌊 Sponsor an exhibition or program
✨ Support us with a donation, big or small

Every act of support helps artists thrive and keeps the arts accessible and alive in the community.

Here’s to a new year filled with imagination, collaboration, and possibility. Here’s to creating together in 2026.

With gratitude and excitement,

Linda Weingarten
