The Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center (ADRC) presents the talent of people with Alzheimer's. ADRC provides care, support and educational programs for families in need, and advocates for local familieis who are coping with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias.

The array of works on display have all been created by art teachers working within Suffolk County. These exhibiting artists are also dedicated teachers working with children and teenagers to help them become the innovative, talented, and creative individuals of tomorrow.

Saturday, June 25, 2022 / 1:00-3:30pm

In this 2.5 hour workshop, students created an 8 x 10 reproduction of Vincent Van Gogh's Irises and learned about his technique. Wine, snacks, and supplies were included.







Paint Like a Master: Paint and Sip Series
Claude Monet

Saturday, May 14, 2022 / 1:00-3:30pm

In this 2.5 hour workshop, students created an 8 x 10 reproduction of Claude Monet's Water Lillies and learned about Impressionism. Wine, snacks, and supplies were included.

"HAPPY LITTLE TREES" in collaboration with Long Island Photo Gallery

In an attempt to evoke the spirit of artist Bob Ross, artists are asked to point their creative focus to trees in all their many forms, whether they be happy or sad trees, big or small trees, or trees standing quietly alone against a landscape or trees as part of a mighty forest.

"The Craft of Writing"
FREE Writer's Workshop with Russell F. Moran, Long Island Authors Group

MARCH 26, 12noon - 2pm at IAC Gallery, Westfield South Shore Mall, 1701 Sunrise Hwy, NY





You are invited to a free writer’s workshop sponsored by the Long Island Authors Group (LIAG). It will be held at the Westfield South Shore Mall at 1701 Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore. The workshop is at the Islip Arts Council Gallery next to the Dicks Sporting Goods. The Gallery also houses the LIAG Bookstore with over 175 titles. Masks need to be worn.

Bestselling author and LIAG member, Russell F. Moran, will be the main presenter. Dr. John H. Krahn, President of the LIAG, will preside. Russ Moran has authored 29 books including, The Novel - A Writer’s Guide. Russ is CEO of the Moran Communications Company. The title of his presentation is “The Craft of Writing.”

The workshop is for lovers of writing, would be authors, and published authors. It is intended for anyone who wants to improve his or her writing skills. The workshop will cover the basics of writing and will provide tips for self-editing. There will also be time allotted for specific questions on publishing.
