Islip Arts Council invited artists of all backgrounds, identities, and disciplines to submit work to this special exhibition for Black History Month at the Cohalan Courthouse in Central Islip, to honor Black History, Culture, & Creative Influence. This exhibition centers on the recognition and celebration of Black history, culture, resilience, and influence, while also creating space for Black artists to be represented in their full creative range.
