‘Between Still and Becoming’ captures a quiet tension—the pause between rest and growth, the subtle movement inside stillness. These works sit in that liminal space where something is both grounded and unfolding. Through soft color, simple forms, and intuitive process, the collection reflects a meditative search for balance, presence, and transformation. It’s a visual exploration of healing—of what it means to be in motion even while standing still.
Rose Edelman is a minimalist contemporary artist based on Long Island. Working primarily with acrylics and pastels on canvas, she often incorporates texture through layered mediums. She also uses repurposed canvases and other found materials. Inspired by the stillness of nature, muted palettes, and gentle horizontal lines, her paintings create a quiet space for reflection. While Rose has painted throughout her life, her artistic practice has deepened as a form of meditation and emotional grounding. Her work embraces aesthetic simplicity and intuitive composition, offering viewers a serene space for calm and introspection.
