In this beginners course, you will learn all essential basic sewing skills needed to sew with confidence. Learn how to layout and cut a pattern, sew in darts, machine finished or French seams, learn how to make self-fabric bias tape, sew in machine button hole. Our finished project will result in a fun, one-of-a-kind, beautiful wrap skirt perfect for the spring or summer season ahead. 


MATERIALS LIST
Sewing Machine (bringing your own is preferred but we have 2 machines for sharing) with extra sewing machine needles and bobbins
Needle threader
2 yds. of prewashed and ironed woven fabric (medium to heavy weight, a comforter cover, upcycled vintage linen tablecloth are good options)
Fabric Scissors
Everything else scissors
Rotary Cutter
Pins, Fabric clips
Chalk, Erasable pen
Polyester Thread
Sewing needles
Tape measure
Seam ripper
Quilting Ruler 6” x 24”
Metal measure gauge to hem
