Teeny Awards Revisited 2021 / Covid Edition
CELEBRATING HIGH SCHOOL THEATER IN ISLIP TOWN ON ISLIP ARTS LIVE!
For the past 12 years, The Teenys have celebrated high school theatre students in the Town of Islip. This year, some high schools put on virtual shows while other programs opted to postpone performances until next year. The one thing all schools had in common was that our students’ amazing talents were not seen by the usual mass audiences.
The Islip Arts Council believes that this year, more than any other, our students must be recognized for battling through these historic times and for keeping the arts alive in their lives. That is why we are proud to have presented THE TEENYS REVISITED 2021!
The Teenys Revisited 2021 individually celebrated each high school program. See excerpts of their virtual performances or original numbers created just for our cameras. Students and faculty shared how the arts help guide them through the quarantines and remote learning.
