The Islip Arts Council and Rotary District 7255 proudly present a special Student Art Exhibit and Wellness Fair to raise awareness about mental health.
In tandem with the student exhibition, "Let It Flow," the Mental Wellness Fair aims to break the mental health stigma relating to the negative attitudes, beliefs, and prejudices held by society towards individuals with mental health conditions. Join us on Saturday, April 12 from 11am-4pm.
The Mental Wellness Fair is a free event for families and children of all ages.
What to expect:
• A day filled with art classes free for all ages led by instructors Lisa Carrano, Johnny Barlanti, and Linda Weingarten
• Performances by Dance Connection
• Resource tables including Long Island Families Together, Scouting America, SMILE (Support My Independent Life), Positive Community Connections, Chris Coluccio Foundation, Association for Mental Health & Wellness, Orion Mauro, Little Flower Children & Family Services, and YES.
