Doors and Windows / Windows and Doors
A Series of Watercolors on Paper

I work in watercolor to explore the transparent properties of the medium. In this series I am using these properties of watercolor through transparencies and reflections found in doors and windows. This enables me to bring the outside inside and the inside outside.

Angela Smith is a born and raised Long Island artist. She was encouraged and supported to follow that path by family and teachers from a young age. Angela received a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts with a concentration in photography from SUNY New Paltz. Currently Angela focuses her attention to watercolor painting. You can often find her sketching, photographing or painting around Long Island’s quaint towns, parks and ever present lakes and shoreline. She also creates house portraits,  landscapes and wildlife works. You can see more of her work on her Instagram gallery @angelalife_artstudio.
