In a fast-paced society in which we live, filled with influencers promoting excess consumerism, ongoing and new wars, deforestation and other environmental challenges, this exhibition calls to inspire each other to slow down, learn about the current strains on our planet, and find appreciation in our ever changing biodiversity.

Islip Arts Council is seeking environmental-themed work to display in the gallery that sheds light to the current-day concerns of our planet’s ecosystems. Works that show appreciation of the beauty of our planet are also welcomed.

Media considered: photography, sculpture, mixed media, repurposed/recycled materials, repurposed nature as raw material, drawing, painting, and poetry.
