The Islip Arts Council hosted a successful Draw-A-Thon event, despite facing heavy rain at the start of the event. There was lots of excitement in the air as many kids sat down to draw with for four hours. The event was attended by over 60 artists including students from Bay Shore High School, Brentwood HS and The Wyandanch Community.
Four cosplay models posed for the artists, including Chappie and Elita One, two wild robots and two fantasy cosplayers. The event also attracted mall shoppers who were in awe of the artists' work. Parents drew with their children and showed interest in knowing more about the Islip Arts Council.
The event was a great success and received coverage from The Islip Bulletin. It left a lasting impression on local youth and their parents, with many asking when the next Draw-A-Thon is scheduled. Thank you to all who contributed to making this event a huge success!
