Artist Bio:
Jessica Som is a Long Island-based photographer known for her compelling imagery that captures the essence of the beautiful outdoors. Jessica’s artistic journey began in her teenage years, with photographing different local bands, wildlife and landscapes.
For over a decade, she has utilized several Canon cameras from film to your basic point and shoot and DSLR. Jessica’s versatile portfolio also features sporting events and special occasions, capturing the excitement of a game or the laugh out loud moments of a family celebration. Hergrowing recognition has led to a steady base of repeat clients and a continuous exploration of new perspectives.
Artist Statement:
I’ve always loved animals and hiking, so hitting the trails with my camera felt like a natural fit. My goal is simple: I want to capture the real beauty of the outdoors and the wildlife that lives there.
Through my photos, I want you to experience some of the trails I’ve hiked or may even recognize a few of the tourist hot spots I’ve visited. I hope my pictures remind people of how beautiful nature is and all its hidden treasures.
