Faith Evans was born and raised on Eastern Long Island. She had a passion for art since she was a little girl. Her dream of going to art school was not an option when she graduated from high school. So instead, after college in LA she jumped into a career in radio/tv advertising in Los Angeles. Decades later, she returned home to Long Island with her young family and went into hospitality management. Many years later in 2020, during the lockdown, she had time to be with herself and listen to her heart’s calling to get back into art. She picked up a pencil and paper and then her life in art began! The passion that was in her young heart returned with even more fire.
Her new chapter also aligns with being an advocate and support for youth. She created art workshops for teens. She illustrated a children’s book soon to be published. She works for two nonprofits on the east end - an amazing after school recreational center where she is able to support young kids and do artistic projects, and she’s a Crisis Counselor for a unique and supportive helpline for teens and preteens. In her spare time, she continues to dive into her love for art by doing commissioned work, illustrating, selling her art, and creating more pieces from her heart.
Faith lives on the east end with her husband and two daughters of whom she is so proud - one in art school and the other about to leave for college this fall.
